Dr. Jan Camenisch received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering Science at ETH Zurich in 1993 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science ETH Zurich in 1998 ("Group Signatures Schemes and Payment Systems Based on the Discrete Logarithm Problems"). From 1998 till 1999 he has been Research Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. Since 1999 he is Research Staff Member and project leader at IBM Research in Zurich. He is currently also the technical leader of the EU-funded project PrimeLife (primelife.eu) that aims at making privacy enhancing identities a reality. His research interests are: cryptographic protocols, in particular those supporting privacy and anonymity; practical secure distributed computation. He has published over 70 refereed papers in these areas.
