Melina Violari joined Facebook’s Public Policy team in 2011, helping to set up Facebook’s Brussels office.
Before joining Facebook, she worked as regulatory affairs manager at Hutchison Whampoa 3G Europe, specialising on Internet and telecoms related issues. She has also worked extensively on intellectual property issues in her capacity as a government relations associate at the Bertelsmann’s Brussels office. Furthermore, Melina has experience working within the European Parliament and the European Commission.
Melina is an LLB Law graduate from the University of Southampton. She also holds an LLM in European legal studies from King’s college London. Melina is a qualified lawyer registered at the Cyprus BAR association.
